Right after Måns Zelmerlöw’s victory in Vienna, the process of finding a host-city to stage the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest started.
Stockholm, Gothenburg, Linköping, Malmö, Örnsköldsvik, Sandviken and Gävle were the choices in the bidding phase, but only one could truly host the 61st edition. Everyone thought we will have yet another edition hosted by the previous swedish host-city from 2013, but just a month ago Malmö withdrew its bid, citing unavailability during the rehearsal weeks of the contest.
That's all the news for now regarding Eurovision 2016. See y'all in Stockholm next year (hopefully).
