Spain makes a comeback in the Victors League!

Spain is back on track! After their not so great results lately, they finally came back to top 3, and with style: a victory thanks to Enrique Iglesias (a VSC icon) and Wisin.

"Duele el Corazón" is a song by Spanish recording artist Enrique Iglesias featuring vocals from Wisin. It was released on April 18, 2016. The song was produced by Carlos Paucar, co-produced by Francisco Saldaña (Luny). Iglesias himself wrote the song along with Venezuelan singer and songwriter Servando Primera.

In an interview with Miami's Romance 107.5 Monday, Enrique said of this song,"This song was born from an idea of one of my friends, I then worked in the studio and developed it in the studio for about eight months... which is not that much time." Adding that, "What I look for in a song is something that animates people, something that I like, If I don't like the song, I don't want to release it, because then I have to promote it and talk about it millions of times."

The song received 185 points, creating an enormous gap, since the runner-up scored only 108 points. The runner-up we are speaking about is the host-country itself! Mexico is doing extremely great since a new Head of Delegation has been chosen. Natalia Sosa was Leydan's choice for the official VSC94 representant of Mexico, the host-country, on the stage of Acapulco. "Te Dejé Ir", the song that Natalia performed, slayed the jurors of VSC, but Spain was too hard to beat.

Top 3 was completed once again by Jamaica, who can't stop getting top 3 results lately. This time it was Omi's "Cheerleader" that brought the jamaicans another country-wide celebration. The song received 108 points, the same as the runner-up.

This edition was also notable for a smaller number of participants than in the previous ones. With only 30 participants, from which only 29 votes (shame on you Croatia), we believe the rest of countries invested in summer beach holidays for their heads of delegation. Or maybe the Olympics in Brazil is consuming all their funds? Who knows, but we hope they will return soon!

The Spanish government has already took actions for the upcoming Veritons Song Contest 95. It was announced that it will be held in Zaragoza, in the beautiful Aragon region. TVE invites us all to party on the beaches of Iberia along with a good book. Don't forget to bring you favourite quote!
